The Chapter does not have a member meeting between this time and the upcoming election where members would be able to make nominations from the floor, therefore members may do so by emailing such nominations to the Chapter office at aptawi@aptawi.org by August 15. Anyone nominated in this way and who consents to serve will be slated for the election.

Golden Goniometer Award

  • How do I get involved in my future profession?
  • Are there any special activities geared toward students in my professional organization?

These are just two of the questions that the SE District can answer for you!

Involvement in your future profession can be as easy as attending one of the district meetings held 2 times per year. The SE district will award an attendance award to one of the PT or PTA programs in our district.

The award, called the Golden Goniometer, will be awarded to the school that has the greatest percentage of their students attending district meetings and events from November through May. The award will be presented each year at the November district meeting, where your school will be recognized for its superior student interest and dedication to the profession.

So start your move now toward your school's possession of this coveted award and come join us at the district meetings! You'll have fun, get some free food, keep up to date on current issues affecting the PT profession, network with others and learn from the featured speaker for the evening. We look forward to seeing you there.
