This lecture is free to attend for all registrants. For those interested in obtaining an APTA Wisconsin approved continuing education certificate, you may make a $20 donation to the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Political Action Committee (WPT-PAC) in lieu of any registration fee. This lab will provide an overview of cervical manual therapy safety and risk factors. It will cover specific exam findings as well as technique helpful in helping to identify parental risk and safety considerations in using manual therapy for the cervical spine. This will also include and overview of a clinical reasoning frame work of risk to benefit ration in helping make a decision in when and how manual therapy is implemented at the cervical spine.
About The Speaker(s)
Joe Kucksdorf, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT graduated from UW-Green Bay in 2007 with B.S. in Human Biology and completed his DPT in 2010 at Concordia University Wisconsin. He completed a year long Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Internship at Bellin Health in Green Bay. He continues to work for Bellin as an physical therapist in the outpatient setting treating a wide variety of orthopedic conditions including working as a spine specialist. A portion of his position is also as Team Leader for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine for Quality and Professional Development program. Joe completed Evidence in Motion’s Orthopedic Manual Therapy Fellowship Program in July 2016 and is currently enrolled in Bellin College’s DSc PT program. He continues to teach independently for Bellin College’s Fellowship program and Evidence In Motion. He is a member of the APTA and AAOMPT. He has served on the APTA Wisconsin Northeast District board in an elected position including treasure, vice chair and chair since 2012.
