Description

This dynamic and fun two-hour session will use case-based learning, covering a real-world, outpatient orthopedic case that aims to differentiate the symptom generator in a hip vs spine case with case based discussion to facilitate an active learning experience. Application of patient-centered and evidence-informed practice will be included with an emphasis on clinical reasoning and meta-cognitive processes utilizing the test retest model. The session is designed to help learners understand how to effectively obtain a thorough subjective examination that supports hypothesis development, planning of an appropriate objective examination and supportive treatment that seek to implement the hypothetico-deductive reasoning model.

We welcome ALL PT students, PTs and PTAs to join!

This type of learning environment is a great opportunity for different experience levels to learn together. Peer learning facilitates meaningful engagement and knowledge translation, facilitating clinical application of the information relevant to the case and beyond.
