Description
This session covers the current best evidence in the physical therapist’s management of the most common extremity syndromes seen for the shoulder regions in a general outpatient orthopedic practice. Course material provides participants with the current body of literature surrounding the most effective management strategies using exercise and manual therapy. A special emphasis will be placed on treatment progression and exercise prescription.
About The Speaker(s)
Eric Chaconas, PT, DPT, PhD, FAAOMPT, is the director of the Bellin College Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy Program. Dr. Chaconas has taught previous courses on the topics of differential diagnosis, research, exercise prescription, imaging and orthopaedic manual therapy. His research interests are focused on best practices in shoulder rehabilitation and he currently serves the Florida Physical Therapy Association (FPTA) as chair of the research committee. He has held prior positions as the FPTA speaker of the assembly, federal affairs liaison, government affairs committee chair and vice speaker of the assembly.
