Course Description:
Research is showing that the biopshychosocial (BPS) model and the quality of the therapist - patient relationship have a significant impact on treatment efficacy. But how do we actually go about implementing this model into our day-to -day practice so that we can have better engagement with the treatment plan, improved patient empowerment and outcomes? How do we develop rapport with our patients so that we can discover and address potential barriers to progress and facilitate the healing process? Some of the practical methods to achieve this include breathwork, somatics, visualization, and embodied listening. We’re going to learn in one hour how to start practicing and implementing this approach without a lot of jargon and complexity so that you can have an internal compass to guide you in implementing the dynamics of the BPS model into your practice right away.
