Speaker Bio:
Megan Berezowitz attended Marquette University for an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science followed by a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She went on to become a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics in 2019. Megan has spent the last 13 years treating within a hospital-based outpatient orthopedic clinic at Froedtert Hospital and joined as an adjunct faculty to UWM’s physical therapy program in 2020. Though always focused on developing her orthopedic skills, Megan attributes much of her clinical success to prioritizing the therapeutic alliance with her patients. She is passionate about viewing the patient through the person-first lens and finds this to be something that unifies physical therapists across all speciality fields. Megan’s conversation at the Mary Pat Murray Presentation will be a look at the “soft skills” of physical therapy, where the art intersects with the science.
