Your attendance at Legislative Day is vital to the success of our soon to be introduced legislation!
We are introducing important legislation this year regarding prior authorization which has the potential to affect all of us! We need a strong grassroots movement to ensure the legislators understand what our bill will do to help their constituents.
Whether you’re a first-timer or a Legislative Day veteran, remember that YOU are the expert on physical therapy issues in Wisconsin. You are also a constituent with a vote. Legislators and staff want to hear what you have to say.
Establishing and maintaining a relationship with your legislator allows you to communicate what is important to your patients, your practice and other therapists in your district. It is also a perfect time to thank legislators for their past support.
You’ll hear from members of the Wisconsin Legislature regarding health care in Wisconsin and then enjoy a delicious plated lunch. In the afternoon you'll proceed to the Capitol, where you’ll meet with your legislators and/or their staff to talk about your passion for the profession and what PT does for their constituents.
