Description

Wisconsin Worker's Compensation is a strong payer and offers a great opportunity for serving our injured workers. The presenters will discuss how the physical therapist can establish themselves as an integral and effective member of the worker's compensation team. They will review the role of the PT in injury prevention and resolution, and how to work effectively with payers, employers and claims managers. Participants will also learn how to document and bill within this system.

About The Speaker(s)

Robert Kroll, PT, graduated from UW-Madison and has over 30 years of clinical experience managing work-related injuries. During his 20+ years in private practice, he specialized in industrial rehabilitation and prevention services and managed the business development, operations and marketing, for his Milwaukee based out-patient therapy clinics. He established and managed multiple on-site work programs as well, providing rehabilitation, injury prevention and consultation services. In addition to his practice, Bob consulted with numerous insurance and injury management companies on physical therapy utilization, and was an Ergonomic Consultant and Medical Case Manager for a national injury management company. Bob is now VP of Business Development for Homelink Therapy Network, a national therapy network developed to partner payers and employers with local independent therapy clinics who have a focus on providing functional, evidence based and outcomes oriented treatment programs.
